About Denver Therapeutic Massage

Sara Seligman (Aymami) is the founder of Denver Therapeutic Massage (DTM) and former owner of Deep Massage & Bodywork in San Francisco. After spending 10 years in the Bay Area, Sara is excited to have moved back to her beloved Colorado to continue her passion helping people feel and move better in their bodies.

For the past nine years, Sara’s practice has focused on working with training or injured athletes, computer users in pain, as well as chronic and acute pain stemming from an injury, overuse, or dysfunctional compensation patterns. Sara approaches each client with the curiosity and attention needed to understand what is going on and make real change. Each session is tailored to what the client needs that particular day.

Her extensive experience has led Sara to develop highly successful programs to help rid people of pain. She can do full body massages, or often preferring to work on specific areas to achieve maximum impact during each session. Sara’s continued training in several modalities allows her to choose the appropriate treatment for each client to relieve pain, increase range of motion, and help the body function better.

Sara works with both elite athletes and “weekend warriors” including Ironmen/women, marathon runners, golf and tennis players, and winter sport athletes. A strong background in anatomy enables her to provide sport specific therapy. She educates athletes on how to decrease the likelihood of injury and maximize performance by altering stretching routines and home therapies. Her background in yoga has taught her the impact body awareness can have on performance.

Sara takes a holistic approach to the body, recognizing the connectedness of body, mind and spirit. She brings over 800 hours of certification in deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point, orthopedic (injury rehab), myofascial release and advanced craniosacral. Sara most recently became a Certified Educator of Infant Massage and teaches infant massage to parents.
